I’d like to say I thought to myself, “Self, you know what would be a killer idea? Dig into Google Analytics to see what the most popular blog posts on VXSuite were for 2015, and then write a post on it for the end of the year,” but it wasn’t my idea at all. I stole this killer idea from Laura Petrolino of Arment Dietrich. She did it for the awesome blog, Spin Sucks.
So I copied her idea. But unlike Laura, who didn’t find any of her posts in the top three Spin Sucks blogs of 2015, I fared slightly better with one of three in the VXSuite Top Three Blogs of 2015.
Our results covered three areas: products (as in Skype for Business), partners (as in Dimension Data) and our acquisition.
VXSuite Top Three Blogs of 2015
These are the top posts written this year. While we have other posts with higher all-time analytics, they were from past years. These are the winners for 2015. Hey, that gives me an idea, maybe I’ll have to do the top three all-times blogs at some point. I always laugh at the number one spot—it’s one of our Fun Friday blogs. Can you guess which one?
- Skype for Business vs Skype vs Lync: It seems plenty of confusion still exists in the market about this one product that used to be three. Maybe because some people are still using older versions—either by choice or by force. Many Mac users are still not upgraded to the full Skype for Business platform.
- Dimension Data Employee Training: Dimension Data is a huge company. With thousands of employees, you would think employee training would be a challenge, but these folks take it in stride. Not only do Dimension Data employees get ongoing education and training from customized lab/classroom environments, but they also do it in rooms with fun-filled themes. Keeping it light creates camaraderie and brings workers together. If you ever have the opportunity to visit a Dimension Data office, I’d highly recommend it.
- Telarus Acquires VXSuite: The acquisition of VXSuite by Telarus certainly garnered lots of interest this year. We were suddenly part of a much larger company with thousands of partners. Our VXSuite partners have spent the last few months learning about carrier services and how they can create a recurring revenue stream. The Telarus partners are coming up to speed on the VXSuite tool set. We have added circuit monitoring at no additional cost to all Telarus-sourced circuits as a way to differentiate Telarus partners from others.
We have had a busy year—especially since the acquisition. I invite you to check out the Telarus blog and website and learn how you can add recurring revenue to your business. Those were the top three based on the analytics. What were your favorite blogs of 2015?
