A letter to VXSuite Partners from Roger Blohm, President
Helping our partners build their best brand has always been a top priority at LVM, Inc. I hope this is evidenced by the top-notch products we have built for you to sell to your customers, the white-labeling of those products, the marketing assistance, and more.
During the past 18 months, we have sought venture capital funds to help grow the business and, because of these conversations, we have decided to join Telarus. Telarus acquires VXSuite products, partners, and customers.
I wanted to take a moment to explain how this came about and detail our company’s short- and long-term strategy. We hope to shed some light on where we see this business heading and how you can capitalize on these developments to grow your business.
Doug Tolley, vice president of sales and director of business development, and I have been traveling with Patrick Oborn and Adam Edwards, founders of Telarus, to present at the Technology Innovation Conferences during the past year. We have discussed the state of unified communications and where we see the market headed.
We have highlighted partners who have expanded their business to include cloud-based services and recurring revenue from telecom carrier sales.
We believe the partners who offer more than just transaction-based products to their clients will win the customer. The trends favor partners who consult with, and provide solutions to, their clients.
We believe every company will need to become a technology company to compete in the future. Businesses grow and thrive when they use technology to improve the processes that surround their customers. The use of technology allows those businesses to take market share from their competitors.
That’s why the acquisition by Telarus makes perfect sense. We pair our expertise in voice traffic analysis on a data network with the Telarus product set to bring maximum value to the new partner channel. This allows you to have the cloud broker conversation with your customers.
The letter of agreement is signed and LVM employees have begun to take on roles in the new Telarus. Once the acquisition is complete (estimated at the the end of 2015), LVM employees will become Telarus employees.
The VXSuite brand will remain alive and separate and will continue to sell through a channel of independent partners.. The new Telarus is committed to channel support. Partners have access to patented pricing tools, engineering, project management, and much more, all to help them attract and close large deals. VXSuite partners now have the resources needed to win more opportunities.
We encourage you to explore the cloud brokerage services for your customers. Telarus helps partners easily source network, UC, and cloud services through patented pricing tools and streamlined processes. The Telarus program pays some of the industry’s highest commissions along with software that ensures commissions are paid on-time, every time.
Telarus has long been a pioneer in the master agent world. They are excited with the acquisition of VXSuite they will offer FREE monitoring on EVERY circuit sold through us, for any carrier. With VXPulse, we’ve created a NOC that pings and traceroutes ALL of your customer’s circuits (sold through Telarus) to ensure your customers receive the correct level of service. In the event that our NOC detects your customer’s circuit is down, we will immediately send you a push alert (to your Telarus App) to let you know. We will also be able to instantly create a trouble ticket with the respective carrier and see the ticket through to resolution, for a nominal fee (more details to come).
The New Leadership Structure
I have talked many times about how special the VXSuite team is. Those of you who attended VXMadness saw this special team in action. One of the things that attracted Telarus to LVM was our high-performing team. Most of the LVM employees have joined the new Telarus.
Doug Tolley will take on the role of senior vice president of sales. Doug will lead the seven field territories and work with the regional vice presidents (formerly channel managers) to make sure they have everything they need to provide you with the best support, guidance, and strategy possible.
Michael Brown, Dan Bravo, and Levi Brown will work together with the Telarus nine-person software development team as we combine our collective coding smarts to create exciting new software. We have no doubt our IT department will continue to impress and create as we continue down the cloud broker path together.
Amy Bailey will take on the role of vice president of marketing for Telarus and will continue to provide you with VXSuite literature, marketing campaigns, and social media support. We are excited to join the Telarus efforts to provide excellent marketing support for our partners.
For the time being, I will remain the president of our VXSuite division. I will work with the development team to continue install new customers, improve the VXSuite software, and be sure you have the support at Telarus to learn about new products. I also will work as the head of our “Integration Team” to ensure our two companies come together in a seamless manner that is as non-disruptive as possible to our business.
We are excited to move back into the Centennial Plaza Building in Sandy, Utah where we first met the Telarus team.
While I know this change may seem sudden and unexpected, rest assured we have taken careful steps to ensure the LVM partners will join the Telarus family with little disruption. I know many of you have been around for many years and transitioned when SyncVoice/Communicado sold the VXTracker application to Americom, who spun it off to its own company, LVM. It is my sincere hope that, as you have watched us grow the product from a single application, VXTracker, into a suite of seven modules, you will trust this new change will also bring fruitful results.
I appreciate your loyalty. I believe this is a fantastic opportunity for you to grow your business in a way you may not have imagined. I hope you will join me as we take on new opportunities.
